Loose-Aggressive Players

Loose Aggressive players are the most frustrating players at the table. They are often referred to as "Action Players". If they join a 2/5 No Limit game, the game plays like a 5/10 No Limit Game. Loose Aggressive players usually never see two cards that they do not like. They are willing to raise preflop with anything. They will bet out with bottom pair and frequently call it down to the river because they think you are bluffing. When a Loose Aggressive player is getting cards, the best thing you can do is stay out of the way. They will continue to rake in huge pot after huge pot while playing poor poker. When they are card-cold these players will bust out rather quickly in any game they play in. Their large wins somewhat offset their huge losses. However, most Loose-Aggressive players are long-term losers.

It should be noted that a lot of professionals employ the Loose Aggressive style (Gus Hansen, Phil Ivey, and Daniel Negranau to name a few). When played properly, a loose-aggressive style can be VERY deadly. However, most people do not know to correctly play Loose Aggressive. Its the most difficult one to master, and it is recommended that until you have a thorough command of the game (i.e. several years of serious [not CASUAL] experience), you should play tight-aggressive.
