Starting Hands in the Blinds

If you are in the small blind and there has been no raise, you can call with any two cards. Realize however, you will be at a major disadvantage for the rest of the hand because you will act first after every card. However, because you are in the small blind, you already have a fraction of a bet in the pot. This gives you really good pot odds to play some trash hands in the hopes that you hit big. You can win large pots from people who try to get cute and limp with pocket Aces preflop. You can call the small amount and end up flopping two-pair, trips, or sometimes a straight. Do not call raises from an early position from the blinds unless you have a strong hand.
